Miki - 3/4 year old female
Approximately 3.5 years old.
She is neutered and free from Mediterranean diseases.
No cats.
Would do well with another dog.
Miki is a beautiful Setter with a gentle nature and a wonderfully loving temperament. Rescued from a very difficult start in Turkey, she now has the chance to find the loving home she has always deserved.
Miki is still a young dog and, as a setter, she will need an active lifestyle with plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment and exploration. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would be happiest in a home where she can have plenty of companionship. As she settles into life and becomes more confident, she may develop a prey drive as any Setter does.
Miki will benefit from ongoing training and guidance as she continues to learn about the world and adjust to life in a home. She would thrive with a semi-active family who can involve her in walks, adventures and activities while continuing to build her confidence and good manners.
Miki is looking for a family who will treat her as part of the family, with plenty of love, patience and affection. She is a gentle soul who has been through a lot and is now ready for a second chance. With the right home, we think she has all the potential to become a wonderful companion.
Stanley - 2 year old male
Stanley is approximately 2 years old.
He is neutered and free from Mediterranean diseases.
Has not been cat tested.
Could live with another dog and children.
Stanley is a handsome, gentle boy who is looking for a family to give him the happy ending he truly deserves.
He was found by a lady we've worked with before and is now safe in the care of one of our trusted rescue partners. It's clear that life hasn't always been kind to Stanley, but despite everything, he has a sweet and affectionate nature that shines through.
Stanley can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn't take long for his gentle personality to emerge. Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys human company and is a friendly, loving companion who simply wants to be part of a family.
Unlike many of our rescue dogs, Stanley has lived in a home before, so we expect him to settle into home life relatively quickly. As with any rescue, he'll need a little time to adjust to his new surroundings and may benefit from some gentle reminders with his routine, but we think he'll soon feel right at home.
Stanley does have some stiffness in one of his back legs, which is currently being investigated. It doesn't stop him from enjoying life, and we'll provide any updates to potential adopters as we learn more.
If you're looking for a kind-hearted companion who will reward your patience with loyalty and love, Stanley could be the perfect match.
Clover - 7 year old male
8 years old
Medical tests TBC
Has not been cat tested
Would love the company of a resident dog
Assumed to be neutered but will discuss with adopters
Clover is a gentle Setter who has been incredibly lucky to escape the life she has known.
Around six years ago, she was rescued by a man following floods in the area. Sadly, rather than giving her a better life, she was kept tied to a barrel for the next six years. When our rescuer heard about Clover, they went to find her and bring her to safety.
Her coat had become so badly matted that she had to be shaved, but despite everything she has been through, Clover is showing herself to be a quiet, loving girl.
At the moment, she is understandably a little shell-shocked and needs time to decompress and come to terms with everything that has happened. We are still getting to know her and look forward to seeing her personality develop as she begins to feel safe.
Clover coped very well at her first veterinary examination, where two rotten teeth were removed. We are still waiting for the results of her remaining health checks.
We feel Clover may benefit greatly from living with a gentle, confident resident dog who can help show her how to enjoy life as a much-loved pet and learn what it means to simply be a dog.
Larry - Now Reserved!
Male English Setter
7 years old
Larry has tested positive for heartworm but is not symptomatic and being treated
Has not been cat tested
Would love the company of a resident dog
Larry is a handsome 7-year-old Setter with a heart full of love and so much to offer the lucky family who gives him a second chance.
After his owner sadly passed away, Larry's future became uncertain. Thankfully, he was relinquished into our care, giving him the opportunity to find the loving home he has always deserved.
Despite spending much of his life living outside on a chain, Larry has the sweetest, most gentle nature. He is intelligent, respectful and affectionate, with a lovely playful side that shines through as his confidence grows. He absolutely adores human company and is happiest when he's receiving attention, affection and being included in everyday life.
One of the biggest surprises has been just how much Larry enjoys the company of other dogs. Although he spent years living alone, he has blossomed around canine friends and truly thrives in their company. Because of this, we feel he would love a home with another friendly, well-balanced dog to help him continue to build his confidence and enjoy life to the fullest.
Larry is now ready to discover everything he's missed out on—a warm bed, gentle walks, cosy evenings indoors and a family to call his own. He will need patient, kind adopters who understand that home life is all new to him, but with a little time and reassurance, Larry rewards you with unwavering loyalty and endless affection.
If you're looking for a calm, loving companion with a gentle soul and a playful sparkle, Larry could be the perfect addition to your family.
Enya - Now Reserved!
Approximately 7 years
Neutered
Blood tests TBC
Not been cat tested
Can live with other dogs and animals
Enya is a lovely 6–7-year-old Iris Setter who we believe was abandoned after being found wandering in a remote area where there are no houses. Thankfully, a kind lady took her in and she is currently being fostered in her yard.
Although we are still getting to know her, Enya is already showing herself to be a wonderful character. She is friendly, playful and particularly enjoys playing fetch with sticks. She is also very comfortable around other animals and is currently living happily alongside three other dogs and horses.
Enya has not yet learned to walk on a lead, but she follows beautifully and is very easy to handle. When she visited the vet, she jumped straight into the car and happily followed her foster mum inside, which shows just how willing she is to trust and learn.
She has adapted very well to the other animals around her and seems to be quite a self-sufficient girl. She has not shown any obvious signs of separation anxiety, although this is something we will learn more about as she settles into a home.
Enya is currently having her final health checks completed. Her initial checks look good and she has tested negative for Leishmania.
We feel Enya would be happiest in a rural or semi-rural home where she can enjoy plenty of space and continue to have the company of other animals. She has not been cat tested, so we are looking for a home without cats.
Enya has so much potential to become a wonderful companion. She is playful, friendly and adaptable, and we are looking forward to seeing her blossom as she gets the chance to experience life in a loving home.
Daisy - Now Reserved!
Approximately 7 years
Neutered
Negative to all Mediterranean diseases
Not been cat tested
Would love a calm and gentle dog companion
Daisy was found, heartbreakingly emaciated, covered in ticks and fleas, with grass seeds and pellets embedded in her poor little body. She had clearly suffered unimaginable neglect and it has taken nearly a year of love, care and vet appointments to get her well enough for adoption.
Daisy is finally ready to find the family she truly deserves and we are looking for a very special home for a very special girl.
As a result of the terrible life she's experienced, Daisy is likely to have some ongoing health challenges. She has weak back legs, is completely deaf, prone to ear infections and isn't an active dog. She's not looking for a home that wants an adventure buddy, she's looking for a comfortable sofa and a family who will love her exactly as she is.
Her perfect home would have a secure, decent-sized garden where she can potter around and explore at her own pace. A warm, comfortable bed to snuggle into and lots of love, patience and understanding.
Daisy loves the company of dogs so we are looking for a home with at least one other calm and friendly dog for companionship and support.
Daisy could live with dog savvy children who will be gentle, kind and loving towards her. She has not been cat tested.
If you can look beyond her disabilities and see the incredible soul underneath, you'll gain a loyal friend who is always happy and has overcome more challenges than any dog ever should have to.
Ziggy - Now Reserved!
Approximately 2 years old
Neutered
Negative to all Mediterranean diseases
Can live alone or with a resident dog
not cat tested
Could live with older kids
Ziggy was rescued from the pound in Serbia, possibly abandoned because he was born a little different; he doesn’t run like other dogs - he moves with a distinctive bunny hop, bounding along joyfully, using both back legs together. Ziggy has been checked by a vet who was not concerned by his distinctive gait. He is not in pain, is very active, and the vet recommended no further action was required. Please see the videos showing Ziggy in action.
For Ziggy, what might have been a limitation has not held him back at all. True to his English Setter nature, he’s very playful, funny and affectionate; making it impossible not to fall in love with him.
He is very sociable and loves both people and other dogs. He is also good with children, but he is lively and bouncy so he would be better suited to a home with older children.
Ziggy will have never lived in a home, so he will need house-training and time to settle in. We will be looking for a family that is sympathetic to his differences. He may not be able to go on long walks, so he will need enrichment activities to help keep him entertained.
Ziggy’s not had the best start in life but his story is one of capability and is a reminder that being born different can mean being extraordinary. He doesn’t just run through life, he hops into it, one joyful bound at a time.
Kuman - Now Reserved!
9 years old
Neutered
Negative to all Mediterranean diseases
Not been cat tested
Can live with other dogs or alone
Kuman is a handsome 9-year-old English Setter who is looking for a family to enjoy his retirement years. He came into rescue after no longer being needed by his hunter in Italy, and is now hoping to find a home where he will finally be valued as a much-loved companion.
Kuman is a gentle, affectionate boy who loves people and has a friendly, playful nature. He gets on well with other dogs, travels well, walks nicely on a lead, and would be happy living with children. He is keen to please and, despite never having lived in a home before, we expect him to settle well with a patient family who will give him the time to adjust to this completely new way of life.
As a working-type English Setter, Kuman enjoys being outdoors and will need a home with a secure garden where he can safely explore, play, and stretch his legs. Like many setters, he appreciates a good walk followed by the chance to relax in a warm, comfortable bed with his family.
If you're looking for a kind, easy-going companion who still enjoys his adventures but is equally happy spending time with his people, Kuman could be the perfect addition to your family.
