Thor is a beautiful Tricoloured English Setter. He comes from a well known breeder in the Northern part of Italy and is the father to Macchia, Zorro and Bianco.
He is between 28-30kg, similar to a show setter. Thor was bought by a lover of Setters with his sons. Sadly, his current owner passed away, and Thor and his setter family have now found themselves at the shelter.
Thor has always been a pet. He is very affectionate and loving; he adores cuddles and walks. Although it isn’t known if he ever lived in a home.
As all rescues, he will need time to adjust to his new life, but we don’t doubt he will be a wonderful addition to your family.

Paul was found abandoned, starved and scared. It’s highly likely he has never lived in a home or known any kind of love.
Paul is a gentle and affectionate boy. He is non dominant and gets on with all kinds of animals.
He will need a kind and understanding home where he can have time to decompress and learn how to live in a home, a resident dog would benefit Paul.
As all rescues, he will need time to adjust to his new life, but we don’t doubt he will be a wonderful addition to your family.

Farina is a beautiful setter with sad, sorrowful eyes. She has spent the last 3 years living outside on her own with very little human contact. She arrived at the rescue extremely fearful and reluctant to come out of her kennel.
Over the last few months, she has begun to gain some confidence and even went on her first lead walk. But she is still extremely nervous and very timid.
Farina needs a special home who have the confidence to guide Farina to a new way of life and provide her with the safety, comfort and space she needs to settle into a new way of life. An open crate may provide a safe space for Farina to adjust at her own pace

Perry was rescued from the municipal animal shelter in north-eastern Turkey. Known for not being kind to dogs. Perry’s life before that is completely unknown, but we can assume he was abandoned by a hunter.
Perry was emaciated, matted and in general terrible condition. Despite all this Perry’s joy shone through, and his love for humans was evident.
Perry is a very affectionate dog and loves attention; he is a big cuddler! Perry’s current life is very chaotic and this shows in his actions in the shelter. He is very high energy and is constantly on the go, however, we believe this is due to being overstimulated. When Perry is taken out of the shelter, he becomes very submissive and timid.
Perry’s ideal family will be experienced in the breed, knowing when he needs to decompress versus when he needs to run around and play. Not forgetting the most important time for cuddles!
Perry is currently in a shelter with multiple other dogs. We don’t doubt he will live perfectly with another dog. The resident dog will ideally be a confident, tolerant and stable dog who will also allow Perry the time to settle into new home life.
P.S. Perry is also known for signing when he is excited!

Chase is now in foster care in Germany, after spending more than 1000 days waiting in a shelter. It’s finally his chance to shine. He’s around 6 years old and about 20kg.
Inside the home, Chase is calm, affectionate, and easy to have around. He loves being close to his people, his people are his world. He would be happy either as an only dog or living with other dogs. Chase is house-trained.
Chase has such a kind, gentle nature, and his sweet smile truly says it all. After everything he’s been through, he deserves a family of his own and a place where he can feel safe and loved.
Chase can get anxious by himself and isn’t left for longer than 2 hours. He will need a family who will help him work through this at his own pace and continue basic training.

Max is our stunning older Setter, he was found abandoned, possibly due to his age and the fact he was ill with Leish.
He is now maintaining on a low dose of Allopurinol for his Leish. Despite all this Max is full of life and still enjoys life’s adventures.
Max deserves to live out his days with the love and care of a family.
As all rescues, he will need time to adjust to his new life, but we don’t doubt he will be a wonderful addition to your family.

Fido - Now reserved!
Fido is a beautiful Blue Belton English Setter of 3 or 4 years old (his exact date is not known).
Fido was abandoned near the tiny village of Karditsa, most likely from a hunter. Fido is a healthy boy and tested negative to all Mediterranean diseases.
This lovely chap has a very affectionate temperament and gets on well with all the dogs at the shelter. He adores cuddles and loves to swim in the paddling pool! Fido has lots of energy and is suited to an active home with no cats. He loves walks and is learning how to politely walk on a lead and training should continue in his new home. Fido is rather the escape artist so a home with good fencing will be required.

Zeus - Now reserved!
Zeus is a stunning old gentleman, DOB 10.03.2016.
Zeus was found abandoned in a park, malnourished but with a waggling tail, he was so happy to see our rescuer! Zeus has just finished a course of antibiotics against Erlichea and Anaplasma, he is a healthy boy and tested negative to all Mediterrenean diseases.
Zeus gets on well with other dogs, he is a very calm and gentle soul and likes peace and quiet. He is very affectionate, he walks on the lead but some more training will be required. Zeus was cat tested with good results.

Liesel was found in a village in Ioannina, she had been too scared to approach anyone it took days to try to rescue her. It was only when she was nearly run over that anyone was able to get her to safety.
Liesel is very shy and has it is likely she has never lived in a home before. She will need a special family who allows her the time to adapt to a life with a family and love.

Leon - Now reserved!
This little chap was found wandering around a derelict part of the island with no people in sight. Due to this, he does suffer when he is left alone; he will need a secure family to support him as he grows up and to help him become a confident young man.
Leon would love an active family who is at home with him the majority of the time. He will need all the basic training that any puppy does. Leon has been through so much in such a short amount of time, he will truly make a wonderful addition to the family.
Leon is currently in Greece and will be able to travel when he is 6 months old (December 2025 onwards)
