  • 1 year old female

  • Is neutered

  • Could live with dog savvy cats

  • Could live with dogs

When Dimi was found, she had been hit by a car and had broken her toes. She has now been treated and made a full recovery and now looking for her forever home.

We have no idea why Dimi was abandoned and she was not microchipped.

Dimi is a young playful girl who loves life, she gets on well with other dogs and doesn’t take notice of cats around the compounds. Dimi has just started walking on a lead and just adores humans and seeks out affection

Dimi will need a patient family and would benefit from a resident dog

Dimi - 1 year old female

  • Stanley is a young (age TBC) male English Setter

  • Will be neutered and is pending health checks

  • Has not been cat tested

  • Could live with another dog and children

Stanley was found by lady we've worked with before and is now in the shelter belonging to one of our rescue partners. He's settling in well and is very friendly. As we find out more about our newest arrival in Serbia, we'll update his profile.

As with any rescues he will need time to settle in and support with basic house training.

Stanley - Young male

Dante & Figaro - bonded males

  • Male, Liver English Setters

  • Dante is 8 years old and Figaro is 6 years old

  • Both boys are neutered

  • Both are clear from all Mediterranean diseases except Rickettsia which is being treated with a 4-week course of doxycycline.

  • Both boys can live with cats

  • We would prefer them to be adopted together, but would consider separating them in the right circumstances.

Dante and Figaro were found wandering the streets in the North of Spain. The boys are believed to be related and would be overjoyed for them to stay together.

Both boys have shown to be absolute pleasures! They are social butterflies and get along with everyone and everything!

Dante and Figaro would make wonderful additions to the family and we don’t doubt they would slot into news lives perfectly.

As with any rescues they will need time to settle and basic house training.

Larry- 7 year old male

  • Male English Setter

  • 7 years old

  • Larry has tested positive for heartworm but is not symptomatic and being treated

  • Has not been cat tested

  • Would love the company of a resident dog

Larry's owner passed away and the family were not sure if they wanted to keep him. There was a little negotiation and the family have agreed to relinquish him.

Larry is a wonderful boy with, playful energy. He is very intelligent, respectful and full of love. Despite his past, he has such a sweet and balanced character. He adapts beautifully, he has lovely manner and truely enjoys human company

It would appear that he has lived all his life alone, outside on a chain but has found love with the company of other dogs. He will need patience and kindness to get used to living in a home.

Sylvia- 3 year old female

  • Female English Setter

  • 3 years old

  • Being treated for heartworm and anaplasma.

  • Negative to all other mediterranean diseases.

  • Has not been cat tested

Gorgeous Sylvia was living as a stray in a poor neighbourhood of town for months until our rescuer was notified of her.  She has been taken to the shelter where she has been living for the past 3 weeks.

Sylvia is a calm soul. She is currently sharing her space with 2 older dogs and gets on well with them. Sylvia would make a wonderful addition to a calm home, she gets on well with children and other quieter dogs

She tested positive for heartworm and anaplasma but has been treated with an antibiotic and has been given her first treatment of Milbemax (wormer) and Advocate (flea spot on).  She will need to continue with these monthly for 12 months and then be retested at 18 month after the first treatment which was February 2026.  Dogs fully recover from heatworm, if caught early and if they are not symptomatic – both is the case for Sylvia.

Other than this, she is negative to all Mediterranean diseases.

Dennis - 3 year old male

  • English Setter cross

  • 3 years old

  • Neutered

  • Negative to all Mediterranean diseases

  • Can live with dogs and dog-savvy kids

  • Has not been cat tested

Dennis is currently in Serbia and he is usually found running around the enclosure, having fun with his tongue hanging out! He certainly prefers to be outside, so he will need a nice secure garden where he can spend time.

Dennis is however living with a dislocated hip. He’s been referred to an expert veterinary team in Serbia who have assessed his condition. They have advise that hes been like this for a long time and that surgery is not required as the hip has healed in place, he moves well and is not in pain, although this will need to be closely monitored.

Dennis can be shy but loves the outdoors and would thrive in a home that understands his needs and limitations. He will need basic training and patience as he is a young and active boy, that has never lived in a home before.

Ben - 12 year old male

  • 12 years old

  • Intact and will remain intact

  • Tested positive for heartworm and is on medication. He is now able to travel

  • Will need a calm resident dog to live with

  • Can live with Cats

Ben’s story is not for the faint-hearted. He was found by the side of the road and a suspected hit and run. He suffered a major injury to the head and the rescuers fought to save his life and hand-fed him for weeks whilst he recovered.

Ben has lost the use of one of his eyes, but copes well without it. Ben also has heartworm. This is a parasitic worm that lives in the heart and lungs of an infected dog. Heartworm is not contagious and isn’t passed from dog to dog; a dog is infected from a mosquito bite.

Ben is no longer symptomatic and has been given a long course of antibiotics, the next phase of treatment is flea and tick treatment, every month for 2 years.

Ben is now well enough to travel, and in the meantime, he has been moved to the “oldie” yard and is currently living with multiple other dogs of similar ages. He gets on very well with all dogs and enjoys the company.

Ben is a very gentle boy and would thrive in a calm retirement home with a family who is around a lot and a calm resident dog he can find companionship in.

Patch - 2 year old male

  • 2 years old

  • Neutered

  • Negative to all Mediterranean diseases

  • Would thrive with a playmate

  • Can live with dog-savvy cats with a careful introduction

Patch is currently in Turkey and is a big ball of energy! He rarely sits still and can usually be found running up and down the enclosure and playing with the other dogs.

Patch has an active prey drive and he loves to be active. Patch is an underdog in the enclosure and is very submissive towards other dogs, but he will play with any dog that he can.

Patch adores people, he is extremely friendly and loves to meet new people, and would fit in well where he can have the attention he loves.

Patch is very enthusiastic about life, he has had a few experiences on the lead and will need ongoing training until he is more familiar with this. Patch is a little afraid of traffic and will need a confident handler to help him with this.

Patch would thrive in an active and outgoing home, he is the perfect playmate and social butterfly. Patch will need basic training as he is a young and active boy, but we know he would thrive with a life of adventures

Ziggy - Approx 2 year old male

  • Approximately 2 years old

  • Neutered

  • Negative to all Mediterranean diseases

  • Can live alone or with a resident dog

  • not cat tested

  • Could live with older kids

Ziggy was rescued from the pound in Serbia, possibly abandoned because he was born a little different; he doesn’t run like other dogs - he moves with a distinctive bunny hop, bounding along joyfully, using both back legs together. Ziggy has been checked by a vet who was not concerned by his distinctive gait. He is not in pain, is very active, and the vet recommended no further action was required. Please see the videos showing Ziggy in action.

For Ziggy, what might have been a limitation has not held him back at all. True to his English Setter nature, he’s very playful, funny and affectionate; making it impossible not to fall in love with him.

He is very sociable and loves both people and other dogs. He is also good with children, but he is lively and bouncy so he would be better suited to a home with older children.

Ziggy will have never lived in a home, so he will need house-training and time to settle in. We will be looking for a family that is sympathetic to his differences. He may not be able to go on long walks, so he will need enrichment activities to help keep him entertained.

Ziggy’s not had the best start in life but his story is one of capability and is a reminder that being born different can mean being extraordinary. He doesn’t just run through life, he hops into it, one joyful bound at a time.

So far she has got on really well with other dogs in the kennels and would adapt well to our way of life with another dog companion.

Hera is a huntress, she has high prey drive and would love to harness this energy for good rather than to suppress it.

Miles is described as a calm setter, who has coped very well with being in the vet practice and moved about. He is ok on the lead and settles well in the car. He has been moved to a private pension so more about his character will become known as he settles in.

We would love for him to find a home with a family who are around a lot of the time and preferably with another dog for company.

He was once a beloved pet who went missing… Unfortunately, they had registered him as dead and didn’t want him back even after they had found out he had been found.

Orion has been honoured to bare the title of “ a very good boy”. He is still relatively new to rescue but is struggling to settle. We would love to find him a new home as soon as we can.

Cher’s history is completely unknown to us. All we know is that she made it and kept her babies alive when there was no one to help.

We were contacted on Instagram about a mother and her babies, and they asked if we could help. We obviously said yes!

All we know of Cher is that she is an utterly perfect mother, Cher deserves a truly special home, were she will have endless love and know comfort and safety
